SocialFlirt.com is an adult dating website that plays no favorites. They have a diverse clientele of all ages and types. While most sites seem to focus on a particular age group, you won't find that here at SocialFlirt.com. There's action from and for all ages. We were pleasantly surprised at the number of listings that featured members in their 40s - 50s. We haven't seen many sites with a such balanced demographic as SocialFlirt.com. Let's see how they do at making things easy for members interested in sexually based relationships.

Social Flirt shares their database with GetItOn.com (a sibling site), but that doesn't detract from this site's appeal for adults interested in a newer-style site with a wide appeal for their sexually-based appetites.

SocialFlirt.com's appeal starts with many options for searches conducted by free standard members. These searches offer a huge menu of parameters or just a few for a very basic, simple search. Through this wide array of choices a member can start with a broad based search and if that offers too many choices, they can narrow the search down one item at a time right from the listings page. This is a very sophisticated search apparatus. We've seen it once before at another site and we liked it just as much then.

In the registration process SocialFlirt.com asks members to take a sexual preferences survey that consists of 25 questions. The survey results are then used as a component for the site's automated searches. The searches include:

Best Match: a numerically based result, reflecting similarity in the preferences survey;
Nearest Match: based on location
Cupid Match: based on a combination of sexual preferences and other closely matched personal information inputs (age, location, type of relationship desired, etc);
Newest Matches: comprises your match up with the newest members.

All the search results are listed in sequence with highest degree of matching leading the list (rather than by proximity or location).

In our benchmark manual search (no computer involved), we inputted a fairly broad set of parameters from the large set of options, to see what materialized. The results from our first broad based search gave us too many results with a broader range than we'd prefer. After a couple of tweaks we had a manageable distance range and a narrow enough set of parameters to give us a good number of prospects. Of our 57 listings we had 36 with photos - a bit disappointing. SocialFlirt's listings presented us with the members username, their personal headline, and their location (with distance listed in miles). Other notations on the listing were options for sending an e-mail, a flirt, or putting the member on your hotlist.

Photos and profiles proved to be a bit disappointing. The access to photos for Standard members consists of seeing the member's listing in isolation. There's no enlargement feature for Standard members. Profiles aren't accessible for free members either. Not the best of circumstances in our view.

When it comes to features, SocialFlirt.com focuses on their computer matching system. There is no chat room or instant messenger available here. While we're big proponents of these live communication options, SocialFlirt's pricing fairly reflects the lack of these expensive features. The site's focus is on member matching but there's also options for webcam feeds from "(erotic) models". This webcam option is a good addition, with more than 400 models' cams available for free. These free versions we would judge "R" rated (i.e. restricted to over 18s). There are options for paid webcams. We imagine the paid cams would go into the "X" rating category. Of the few we checked out, we were impressed. The models chat with their admirers and converse with them in a friendly manner. They seem professional in their appearance and behavior. In an interesting move SocialFlirt.com's members themselves are encouraged to broadcast webcam sessions of their own. We see this as an attempt from the site to develop member involvement. The more activity and involvement generated on the site for members the more engaged the members feel. That's one of the ingredients of the elite sites - engaged membership.

How do we rate SocialFlirt.com compared to their competition? It's a tough call really. On the plus side, they provide good opportunities for matching up their members through matching technology. They also have their free member and model webcams. All this is good and provided at a very reasonable price - with a 3 month free membership guarantee if you fail to get the desired action - namely sex. However, comparing them to the bigger, elite sites, which are loaded with options, is a bit like comparing apples to oranges. Beauty may well be in the eye of the beholder. For example, SocialFlirt's age balanced membership may provide just the right spot for those in that large but usually under-represented age bracket of 40-50 years of age. The pricing makes a premium membership affordable for most. So our call is if the shoe fits wear it. Of course we'd still like to see a live on-site communication option, but then they'd be pretty much mirroring the competition. We'd still suggest you confirm the site's ability to provide you with good leads before taking on a Premium membership. SocialFlirt isn't going to be the best site for everyone but if it suits your personal preferences, then that's what really matters.
