Gleeden.com is an adult dating site with over 2 million members. It uses a credit-based system, allowing you to spend as little or as much as you like, depending on your activity. What’s more, the site feels like it has genuine members, with extra tools to help you show you’re interested and to get chatting.

The main point that we enjoyed about Gleeden (aside from the name) was that the members seemed genuine. There are a lot of fake accounts on adult dating websites, but this didn’t seem to be the case here. The knock on effect of this is that photos can be sparse or low quality, however if you do manage to find a paying member who is online, it’s more likely that they’ll be interested in you rather than your wallet.

Profile pages are brief but contain some necessary information. You can see photos, start a chat, send a gift, send a message, send a crush, add a member to your favorites, block a member or report them. Each command can be given at the push of a button.

Sending a message costs credits (5, to be precise), which costs money. If you buy the smallest package of credits, a single message is incredibly expensive. As such, if you anticipate using the site a lot, it might make more financial sense to purchase a bigger bundle.The good thing about credits is that you won’t spend anything if you’re inactive, and you only pay for your activities, rather than having a monthly bill irrelevant of whether you’ve used the site. 

Gifts can also be sent to members, but again these aren’t cheap if you’ve only paid for the small credit bundle, and they’re only e-gifts. If you’d like to show you’re interested in someone then you can send a crush alert, which is a simple way of showing you’re keen on them.

Browsing the site, you can easily see members who are online. The search feature provides plenty of options to help pin down your ideal dates, too. That said, we were disappointed by how many results we received from our searches, even when we performed several at different key cities around the world. 

In a way, low membership numbers aren’t always a massive problem, so long as the members you find are active. This didn’t really appear to be the case on Gleeden.com, with the majority of our matches not having logged on for months, or even years. The majority of them also had no profile photo, and those who did have a picture didn’t always include a lot of information about themselves.

In conclusion, then, we weren’t confident that Gleeden could deliver on helping its members to hook up. Perhaps we were just unlucky with our searches, though, so it's worth giving the site a try for yourself. However, it is very expensive per credit if you don't want to commit to lifetime membership. Whilst the members who use the site do appear to be genuine, that’s just not enough to convince us that it’s the place to go to find adult dates and hook ups. Still, it may be worth joining for free, performing a few searches and spending a little cash to contact those members who appeal to you.
