Members of Gleeden can host their own photo profile complete with an unlimited collection of sexy images. These photos can be stored in an album attached to a member’s profile and they can decide the extent to which the album is publically viewable. Members can also send gifts and flirts to other members to let them know that they are interested in hooking up or to celebrate birthdays or other such events. Members can also keep a number of lists (including a friends list, favorites list and hotlist) to help them keep track of who they have spoken to on the site, as well as getting in touch with members using instant messaging. Finally, members can receive ‘crush alerts’ straight to their email accounts or mobile phones to let them know that they have an admirer.
Unlike many other sites we have reviewed in this category, Gleeden does not operate on the basis of an all-inclusive subscription package, but rather requires that members purchase ‘credits’ that are used to ‘purchase’ features on the site, such as mail, messaging, gifts, crush alerts, horny movies and more. Members can pick up 25 credits for around £15, or purchase 400 credits for £70. If members really like what the site has to offer, they can join as a VIP member, which costs £300, and allows complete access to the site with an unlimited number of credits. Although this gives users the opportunity to decide how much they use the site (and therefore how much they spend), we do think this way of paying for membership works out more expensive than subscription packages offered elsewhere.
Although Gleeden offers users access to a range of great features, the size of its membership base does let it down a little, especially given the fact that members will almost certainly pay more for a subscription here than elsewhere. We would suggest that our readers check out the site and everything it has on offer, including the free trial membership option, but to refrain from subscribing until they have had the opportunity to check out other sites in our top ten in this category.
