HornyMatches.com is another of the adult dating websites that feature a sizable enough membership to make them a player in the action-orientated game of personal erotic dating. Their tagline is "Sexy personals and beyond". Okay, we'll buy that label. Their approach is to offer simple, basic practicality and with it they have amassed a substantial following of members in the US and abroad.  While they don't boast a membership figure, we've calculated it to exceed 3 million, which is substantial and does make them a serious player in adult dating.

The HornyMatches approach is to give their members a lot of choice in potential partners.  This is achieved by way of matching your specific interests with the other member's and in having an abundance of willing sex-partners in your area.  To say that they have you 'covered' is not an exaggeration here.  From what we could tell, there is an impressive level of activity and interest in helping members find their matches.

In our benchmark search we were presented with over 200 listings - all within about a 15-20 mile distance.   We set the search parameter at its lowest level (which is 30 miles) and we saw only a small fraction of listings that were beyond that 15 - 20 mile range.  That is an amazing number of locals to choose from.  All the listings said the member were recently on-site. The number of local listings is a key factor for determining how many prospects are likely.  Dating can be considered a numbers game in many respects and adult dating is no exception. With listing totals like these, HornyMatches offer reasonable odds in being able to find potential partners in your vicinity.

After we sorted out the ones that were outside of a 10 mile range, we had 42 left, and 33 had photos.   That's over 70% of members with photos, which is remarkably high for an adult dating site. Additional good news is that the members' full profiles were available to us as free members. The profiles were nicely sectioned and easy to view and gather info from.

Another pleasant surprise is that of the 40 members listings 37 were premium members.  That fact gives a good indication of how involved the membership is (at least locally).  We interpret this to indicate a lively, activity level at HornyMatches.com.  That elevated activity level and member involvement is just the thing to foster membership growth on a dating site.  There's just no substitute for it.

HornyMatches.com's photo handling capability is a good one. The member photos posted looked good and were enlargeable right from the listing (a nice plus here).   There's space alotted for six public photos on the profile.  We would surmise that there's a larger reserve available, probably for private photos here - a fairly standard feature in adult dating sites. That's the bulk of the good news for now.

The provision of advanced or special features are an area where HornyMatches.com is lacking. There is, of course, an e-mail system for use by all Premium members. Standard members can e-mail Premium members (which works for our returned listings being nearly all Premium).  This as a very smart move on the part of HornyMatches as it provides Standard members with full contact with Premium members. It builds a feeling of  consideration and gives the Standard member a chance to interact and communicate with other established members right from the start. That can serve as a prime motivator for Standards to become Premium members.

That previously mentioned e-mail feature is a good idea and will lead to some Premium memberships being preferred. However, once upgraded, the lack of features may be noticeable.  There's no means of live communications on-site.  We realize that one of the features for Gold members is that personal contact information may be posted in mailings, but we think that such permission becomes a necessity due to the lack of on-site options such as live communcations tools. What we're not keen on, is the fact that some members may have reservations about providing personal information prematurely.  A much better approach would be to have at least one live video option available (a video chat option and preferably an instant messenger with video capability).  That is the best option for safely getting to know someone. Outside of the safety concerns, it would be a convenient tool for a member to have at their disposal. This kind of technology is now in widespread use on dating websites, so its omission is a real shortcoming.  HornyMatches need to consider including something for on-site live communication and until we see it,  they've earned a downgrade here because this technology is practically standard on the top sites.

Overall, HornyMatches.com does reasonably well for their members, with a large membership that's active and engaged.  That aspect is responsible for our giving them our thumbs up.  However, the value for money is a bit low in our view.  Value is a cost versus benefits relationship and the prices at HornyMatches are about the same as other sites that have more advanced features. You could argue that the omission of on-site communications technology is largely negated by the members' outstanding involvement level. You probably won't miss the on-site  communication options, if safety concerns and convenience at your fingertips are not high on your priority list. But for safety-conscious individuals, it's an important issue which you should be mindful of.

Still, we think this is a good site for finding your HornyMatches and we can easily imagine lots of satisfied members.  We would suggest that you try out a Standard membership and upgrade to a Premium if you find some horny people with whom you click. Please remember, there's no rules from stopping you from freely joining many adult dating sites in order to see how they compare, then when you've found the one that suits you, just stick with your favorite.
