HookUp.com is another of the adult dating websites that features lots of video
options. There's live cam chat, member and model
webcams, videos offered by category, and video on demand - featuring
select professional HD movies and shows. It's a sexual
videophiles dream come true. While it has its share of
members in the 30-50 age bracket, HookUp.com utilizes self-promoting video and photos of mostly 20 somethings. The vitality expressed in these youthful faces, combined with the site name, is an indicator of who and what HookUP
are appealing to. Sex sells and youthful sex must really sell!
With so many video features in place at HookUp.com it's important to mention that aspect in context. The
multi-billion dollar business of video-based porn now spills over into the adult dating website portals. It makes
sense when you consider it. Adult dating websites like HookUp.com represent
a modern, safe way to offer sexually focused members to express their sexual desires and have them met in one place and time. Adult
dating websites themselves are proliferating and those that are doing it well are exploding in popularity. It seems that the only limitations to the intense marketeering are adult dating sites' software capacities rather than any lack of
demand. There must be an incredible demand, and purchasing of it, to justify the intense promotion of video-based features that's prevalent on

Our task in reviewing adult dating websites
is to sort out the differences in them that exist and deliver a fair
report on those differences and how they might impact prospective or
active members. One notable difference and
advantage on HookUp.com is
their email option for basic (free) members to receive e-mails.
Most sites give no e-mail access to basic members. Here, at
least you can get a clue on who's interested. There are
multiple chat rooms available for Premium members to use and Instant
Messenger also. These features represent nothing special as
most adult dating sites have them as well.
Dating
websites' primary driver is the member search facility. It's no different in
adult dating. Our inputs are entered and HookUp.com's
listings come back with 80 members that match our search criteria. That's a good number of members, all from our locale.
Of these, 32 had
photos. The photo percentage is low and might be a tip off of an
inactive membership (details later). The members' photos
were very good but we were disappointed to find that we could not enlarge them. The members profiles were nicely arranged, with details on what each member was looking for and what they were about (both
mandatory fields here). However, about 80% of the members gave no
other information from the menus offered. In other words, they
presented the bare minimum of information.
We
used the last logged-in option for our search and when we checked, (the
last entry on the profile - you have to dig for it) the first
ten or so listings indicated that the members hadn't been on the site for more
than three months. We thought that might be an error as the
search engine had given us trouble a few times (giving us the
wrong sex in our searches for a couple of days). So we did
our duty and manually checked the profiles and found that only a few
had been on the site in the past two months. These findings indicate that membership activity is poor. We guess that HookUp.com
has a low membership count and is holding their old members profiles on
the site for appearances.
How do we rate a site like
this? Well, with the last log-in information in
mind, HookUp.com
should be approached very carefully as a member - if at all. If you have time on your hands and are keen to test drive HookUp for yourself, then we suggest trying it as a free member, submitting your
photos and profile and seeing if you get any e-mails. You can receive
e-mails as a basic (free) member. If you get nothing
