sexy dating location geared for an adventurous membership.
Sexuality is given first priority both by the site's up-front
approach and the members' forward attitudes regarding it.
It's certainly going to work for the alphas on this site. If
sex were able to be a legally traded commodity, HotMatch.com could be
the Exchange. The site is all about here and now action. Is
it the place for you to put yourself "out there"? Let's see.
HotMatch.com shares a database and
certain features with GetItOn.com - one of the biggest players in adult
dating. This helps HotMatch reach as many members and locales as
they do.
There is a
comprehensive collection of features available, headed by members' intro videos, live chat, and
instant messengers. There's also member webcams and models
webcams too (for a fee). The industry standard technology is
in full use at HotMatch.com. Premium members have full access to a range of useful tools which are common to
dating sites. There are also a number
of marginal features that you may never use, but it's not a bad
thing to have them, just in case. Few sites that we have
reviewed can surpass this arrangement of features or offer a better level of feature-access by Premium plan members.
In our
benchmark search we were presented with 46 members who had been on-site
in the past week - that's a good number. Of these, 32 had
photos to view - another good number. 14 of the 46
were Premium members. That's a telling statistic in our view,
with more than a third of the members listed in our search showing a serious interest
in the benefits conveyed with Premium plans. We would think that with
this turnout of interested members, with a high commitment
level, we could find some agreeable action at HotMatch.com.
The search listings provide the following details for each member: username, age, location,
when
last on-site, a compatibility level score (1-5 stars), and
how many
photos the member has posted. That's a good bit of info for
starters
but not enough yet to judge if a member's
sexual interests
are compatible with yours.
HotMatch gets good grades
for photo / profile / personal info. Unfortunately, basic (free)
members can't access a member's full portfolio or enlarge the listing
photo. This is disappointing as the enlarged images would entice members - especially if they are sexy, eye-catching images. Profiles (even partial ones) are not
accessible. But there is a
photo-click balloon featuring a member's "About Me" paragraph
that will give enough clues about that member's activities and
preferences for you to see if they're your type or not.
With regard to
communications features, HotMatch.com's Premium members have access to a couple of very valuable live communications features: instant messenger and chat
rooms offering a private function. There's also site-based
e-mail and of course flirts can be sent throughout the site by all
members. Basic (free) members have one little
communication perk: they can respond to e-mails sent to them by Premium members. This kind of arrangement is common among the better adult dating sites as they realise that it is vital for Premium members to be
able to get a response to a message they send to a basic (free) member in which they have an interest.
The
reason we like site-based live communications options like chat and
instant messenger is two-fold: convenience and personal safety.
They go hand in hand in our view when considering the nature
of dating sites in general. It is very convenient to have
the communication feature at your fingertips. Safety starts with not having
to offer your true name or personal contact information like an email, phone
number, or Yahoo address. You have a chance to
get to know the members you have an interest in, in real time on video.
After a few anonymous communication sessions, you should know whether or not you want to take things to the next level, or say goodbye. The anonymity of the communications can give you the
chance to safely get to know people you might not initially consider giving your information to. It really is a win-win situation, so
we're always keen to discover whether or not a site offers site-based live communications. Sites
offering these features are a cut above the rest.
We give high marks to
HotMatch.com for what they offer, how they offer it, and for their value for money.
Their main weakness lies in their failure to offer more access
to basic (free) members, so that those members could appreciate the quality of the
site, firsthand. We really like the technology that's
accessible and the sites functionality is quite good (for a
site with so many choices available). The value for money is very good, with a lot of features for a reasonable price if / when you decide
it's time to make a lot of contacts. We recommend joining as a free member with a few of your shortlisted sites, seeing if your searches come back
with enough interesting prospects, and letting your search results dictate your next move. If you don't want to put all of your eggs in one basket, you could maintain a couple of free membership profiles on the sites which showed the best prospects during your trial phase, and upgrade to a premium membership one one site.
