For a man it is a total SCAM! Online Cupids are FAKE!

Response from their Customer support: We have over 20 million "real" members on our site.

When you upgraded to a premium membership, the following disclaimer was clearly stated on the upgrade page,

"By logging in, I affirm that I am at least 18 years old and I understand that this site is for adult entertainment purposes only, and agree to the terms and conditions, privacy policy and to the use and nature of online cupids".

Online Cupids or OC's are fictitious profiles made by real people intended to stimulate conversation with members in order to encourage a broader participation in all of our Site's services. This includes the posting of additional information and/or pictures to the member's profiles. The OC's also serve as a means of monitoring member activities, communications between members, and ensure compliance with our Terms and Conditions. OC profiles are clearly marked with a white Online Cupid badge at the top of the profile page.

Well they won't disclose how many of those 20M "real" members are paying males (probably very close to 100%) and how many are real females (I'd say close to 0%). Just go on their site as a male (looking for a woman) and click on... (Read the full review)

Big Scam

This site is a complete waste of time. As previously stated by others, lots of bogus emails, doesn't take you long to realize all they want is your money. Unable to answers emails without a pop-up wanting you to upgrade your free membership. Sites like this should be shutdown immediately. Don't waste your time here!!

In summary, I would not recommend Hookup to a friend.

Filled with Scammers

1) Nearly 80% of the best looking sexiest girls are cam girls doing a bait and switch.

2) Both the cam girls and other girls are just models hired for their pictures and never answer a message.

3) Hard sell all the time to become a lifetime member

4) Hard sell all the time to watch cam girls.

5) Recently they made some idiotic policy that you could not have a profile picture that was not your picture. I had to get off of there fast because I am very well known and would show up on searches. Meanwhile women are encouraged to show multiple people on the profile page.

The over all feeling is this site just wants your money. I never got one positive response but I have from other sites.

I would say FORGET IT DON'T WASTE THE TIME AND ESPECIALLY THE MONEY.

In summary, I would not recommend Hookup to a friend.

Hookup.com is an absolute scam!

Hookup.com is a complete scam. As a member you'll be getting tons of bogus emails from profiles that are bogus! For the last three months I've gotten at least a half dozen per day. I feel like such a fool! I guess I should have caught on sooner. Just do a search on "hookup.com complaints" and you'll see lots who've had a similar experience. It's pretty obvious they're using an automated system to generate these bogus emails. I've found many clues. Emails from profiles that say the last time active was three months ago, pictures of blonds with descriptions that don't match (black hair etc...), and more. I guess even the best automated systems eventually screw up.

In summary, I would not recommend Hookup to a friend.
