The automated matching service on I Hook Up is a little different to what you might find elsewhere. It considers your compatibility in a few ways, including common interests and sexual preferences. The site also allows you to find out which dating websites another member is using, so you have an idea of how active they are in finding hook ups.

The good thing about this matching system is that it takes more than just sexual attraction into account. This is particularly useful to people who are looking to make friends or for anyone who wishes to start a longer relationship (rather than just a night or two rolling in the hay).

Search options allow you to narrow in on potential dates based on their location, age, relationship and physical appearance. This is a good starting point and adds to the automatic matches, however it’s not as in depth as you’ll find elsewhere.

Members can upload multiple photos, including private photos. With private collections, you can restrict access to the public, only allowing particular members to view your kinkier snaps. This is pretty handy if you’d rather not share your intimate images with the whole site.

IHookUp.com is relatively tame when it comes to erotic photos, so there’s no fear of stumbling into a gallery of naked flesh if you’re not interested in nude photos. However, you can explore the site’s live cam section, where models are waiting to provide erotic performances to paying customers. These performances may cost extra, so be aware of that before deciding to go ahead with a performance.

The site provides several package deals, offering significant savings on the standard monthly costs. You can also try the Gold or Silver membership options out for two days on a trial. This is a good opportunity to try out the features that are available and to chat to any members you like the look of, unrestricted.

All things considered, iHookUp probably won’t win any awards for dating prowess. Our search results showed quite a few positive results, but many of them didn’t have photos, and some clearly weren’t near the location we specified. However, if you do find a few members you’d like to talk to, the site’s trial offers are a good way to find out if you’d like to join for a longer period, with matching options which take some of the work out of finding local hook ups.
