Although I'm witholding final judgment on the site, the fact is that I actually came to no1reviews.com straightaway FROM GetItOn.com BECAUSE of the overabundance of fraudulent Profiles I'd just encountered there. After going through a set of 8 profiles, with 6 of them being obviously fraudulent (and obviously from the same source, as well) I gave up, in frustration and disgust, and decided to search online for reviews of adult dating sites. I was not only interested in which would be determined to be the best, but also in what would be said specifically about AdultFriendFinder.com and GetItOn.com (for those interested, please see my other Review here, for AFF.com).
My above-mentioned encounters with the fraudulent Profiles came from my doing a search for women "near me" (btw, I have been a Gold Member of GIO.com for 3 months at present). As I said, of the 8 I selected, 6 were obviously fake; all were of hot young women, with only 1 or 2 photos each; and all of the essays were simply variations on the same essay, with unusual keywords and unique concepts being repeated in each one; so much so, that pure coincidence could not possibly account for it.
But the question I must ask (and which is at the foundation of my disgust) is: if these Profiles were so blatantly shouting out "Fraudulent!" to ME, then why does the management of GetItOn.com seem oblivious to it?
I have similar complaints with AdultFriendFinder.com; I'd just been hoping all these months that GetItOn.com would be somehow better (even though I knew that they are from the same parent company). They're both bad in this regard; I can't say which one is worse; they're about equal. In my Review, I gave GetItOn.com a half-star extra than I did AFF.com (2.0 vs. 1.5) as symbolic of my tenacious and still-breathing hope that GIO.com will somehow, someday, turn out better than AFF.com. I'm sure the sophisticated reader is now thinking (as is probably also this Editor) that all the rest of the adult dating sites are far worse than these two; and I don't dispute that, as I'm sure it's true, at least as regards features available and value for the dollar; but nevertheless, I remain steadfast in my contention, that if you don't police fraudulence effectively, then you've lost the game right there; for without the feeling of confidence that what one is looking at is, in fact, genuine (or if not all that, at least that the administrators responsible are being vigilant on one's behalf, to the best of their abilities) there can be nothing pleasant about the search.
In summary, I would not recommend Get It On to a friend.
