Now, before I get into my own personal account, I'm gonna lend my voice to the hundred-or-so people who've reviewed Fling.com, already. You're all right... it's definitely not worth your money. But there's a little more to it. Despite being an apparent front for an email-phishing scheme, deceptive promises of hooking up with 'real girls' and an overall blatantly-dishonest business model that is designed to take advantage of everyone's more base instincts, believe-it-or-not, you CAN get exactly what you're shelling out hard-earned dollars for... as long as you go in with reasonable expectations and a healthy detachment from what Fling.com will dangle in front of you.
I've been an on-again, off-again member since December 2006 and I've not only hooked up, but had the option to hook up, as well. So, Fling.com CAN work if you really want it to work. That said, my own personal observation has been that some of the people who've carved out their own little corner in Fling-ville... well, let's just say that there's a all-too-real cost associated with any kind of investment... and sometimes, you just don't get what you pay for. But that isn't the site's fault... can't vouch for everyone, now, can they?
This is every bit of the classic 'let the buyer beware' scenario. The girls on cam are more-than-likely being paid to be there, whether it's an actual hourly rate (you can kinda figure out which ones these are, as they do everything to avoid showing their faces) or with a free subscription (a 'reward' for having a healthy number of guys viewing her cam). Think about it: you can't have a cam-site promising you'll get laid without girls on cam, right? Those girls HAVE to come from somewhere! Keep that in mind and you've already got the site licked, so to speak.
The bright side to Fling.com is that you're ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEED to see naked people. Whatever your flavor... whatever toppings you like... you'll find it, there. He or she may not chat with you like you'd hope (and they probably won't, so be prepared!) but such are the rules of attraction. But don't let this get you down, because the chance he/she knows you're even there can be as little as 1%, anyway. Y'see, the rooms can have upwards of 100 people and that's a LOT of folks chatting away at the same time!
The bottom line is as long as you keep your wits about you and recognize Fling.com for what it is... a site that plays on a desperate individual's desire for attention and wish-fulfillment... it IS possible to enjoy yourself for what they DO offer: a momentary distraction from the 'real' world. Nothing more... nothing less.
In summary, I would not recommend Fling.com to a friend.
