This site is a waste of time

I have been a member off and on for about 15 years. It used to be a great site with lots of interesting people interested in meeting up. Over the years it has continually degenerated into its current state of being populated almost completely by scammers, trolls, and hookers. Don't get me wrong, there are still some good people on the site that are interested in meeting, but they are few and far between.
None of the "features" of the site work properly on a consistent basis. Cameras freeze, IM crashes constantly, and the filters they use to patrol the blogs remove random words like "me" and "that" so frequently that most posts become illegible.
Support is horrible, and unresponsive (unless you consider "oh yeah, we're working on that" to be responsive). They don't seem to care about member complaints unless it is something that is directly affecting their bottom line (like a paying member can't login).
I will probably give them a couple of years before I try again, to see if they have made any progress in an upward direction.
In summary, I would not recommend Adult Friend Finder to a friend.

Too many inactive members

I am a male living in Los Angeles. I signed up for adultfriendfinder and paid for a 1 month Gold membership. I filled out my profile and uploaded pics. After being approved I then did a search for "members near me", ages 19-41. Based on AFF's membership in the tens of millions I expected see (and hopefully meet) dozens of horny women. Here are the actual results ...
Within an appropriate distance for Los Angeles due to traffic, it showed 31 female members. Not bad. Not bad at all. Upon closer examination only 2 of these 31 female members had logged in within 1 week. The other 29 showed as not having logged in for several weeks or even several months, obviously inactive.
What good is slogging through pages of inactive members to find a couple of possibilities? Obviously, AFF does not "dump" ANY of their inactive members. And they don't have a search parameter for "last time member logged in) i.e. 1 day, 3 days, 1 week etc. so you can't avoid all the inactives. Thus, paying members are paying to mainly see tons of totally inactive members!
Adultfriendfinder? A total waste of time. And money.
In summary, I would not recommend Adult Friend Finder to a friend.

Me and my girlfriend tried the one month membership, as an attempt. We were looking for a single woman. If it would work out, we could have extended it. We could not find any single girl that was real, most of the profiles are fake, made up. Many others are actually couples in disguise. The website is for the most uninteresting and unexciting. I believe that for the most it is basically just as difficult as it is in real life to find someone for casual encounters, it doesn't make it any better or easier, therefore, it is not worth the membership.
In summary, I would not recommend Adult Friend Finder to a friend.

Waste of time and money

My first issue starts with the home page of AFF before you sign up. It shows pictures of some VERY attractive people and says they are from your hometown. It actually had their picture and it said Columbus, Ohio under them. After signing up I don't remember seeing any of those people in my searches so they lie to you right up front. Most of them were probably out of my league anyway but they were still nowhere to be found.
My second issue is with the actual members. They are either fake or don't respond. Many women have the requirement that the men who contact them either have a face picture on their profile or send one with the first email but they don't have one themselves. Since that is the case I included a face picture in every email I sent. I got little to no response to every email I sent. I sent a lot. I was not picky with the women I emailed either. I'm not ugly, retarded, verbally abusive, or stupid, but I am sure this site is a complete ripoff and the only thing keeping it afloat must be money it kicks back to the authorities because if they were investigated I'm sure the bastards would be put in jail! If you guys would stop whacking off to internet porno all the time and start using your brains you would probably see the truth! Yeah, it's a pain in the ass trying to meet women. You go to bars and get rejected by bitches, go on a date and get milked for money, you get referred to some woman by her friend and she turns out to be a psycho! What's the alternative? Sitting around beating your meat on the internet in front of your laptop? You'll get more satisfaction doing that then spending shit loads of money and getting frustrated knowing you got had once more by the latest remarketed adult site. It's a joke. My wife and I have a couples profile and we've had mostly positive experiences. Many couple and "single females" will not respond to messages, not even the common courtesy of saying "no thanks". I have a very hot wife (not me bragging, she is a real bikini model).
There are way too many single males to choose from and most do not read the profiles when we say that we are only seeking couples or females. But a few couple do seek single males and they have their choice of the best single males around.
Now, for the "single female". the majority of single females are males who use stolen or ex girlfriend photos. The single female unicorn is mostly a myth-very few single real females on this site! Ask for a voice verify and you will never get a response.
The worst part is the fuzzy math. I still don's understand how signing up for the gold membership for one year at $9.95 equals to 179.10. this is the price for 18 months not 12. If you earn the free six months, then why not just charge you the 120 bucks upfront... (Read the full review)

Purchased a Gold membership that I would have full functionality only to find out that about all you can do is view profiles and email other members. If you want to know if your email has been read it will cost 100 points which I have no idea of what they cost. I also purchased a one year membership which was supposed to come with 6 months free in which I only show to have 12 months on my membership. My suggestion is to avoid this website along with Alt.com which is owned by the same people.
In summary, I would not recommend Adult Friend Finder to a friend.

This site is dangerous for women, particularly for single females. I had a lunch "meet and greet" with a member and then decided that I didn't want to meet again, and especially not for any intimate encounters with him. When I told him that I didn't want to meet, he started sending me harassing text messages that are unlike any that I have ever experienced or even heard about. I reported it to my local police department, and they are pursuing it as harassment. The deputy who read the texts on my phone agreed that the member is mentally/emotionally unstable. I immediately reported this to their so called customer service. The representative whom I spoke with was rude, dismissive, and nonchalant. He refused to let me speak to a supervisor and even stated that no managers or supervisors were working. Despite telling me that he was noting the member's account and escalating the issue, I was asked for the same information when I tried reporting it through their web site. To date, nothing has been done about this, and based on my conversation with the representative, it seems they do nothing... (Read the full review)

I've been on AFF for over 13 years now. For me, it's a lifestyle thing. The people who ARE into the lifestyle are all but ridiculed in any of the chat rooms, heaven forbid you would be on a sex site looking for sex. It has gone considerably downhill with the passing, a few years ago, of yahoo's user created chat rooms. It seems the ones who just like to talk a good talk and nothing more have gravitated to AFF from the closed down yahoo chat. As for Profiles? A LARGE number are false, generated by AFF and its holders themselves to attract coustomers, it even says so on the sign up page......see.... "Some member profiles are for advertisement only". I have seen pictures of people I know personally from the site on profiles that weren't theirs and multiple profiles with different geographical locations/ages, etc, with the exact same pictures.
The up side of the site? Even though it has an amazing amount of fake and misleading profiles it is still the largest of its kind. So it increases the chances of finding what you're looking for considerably after you weed out the fakes and the ones who... (Read the full review)

I tried AFF for a couple of months, and almost all of the women who sent me flirts lived outside the metro area in which I reside (Bay Area). Also, many of the local women did not log on recently; they havent logged on in over 3 months! This site is great if you are an attention whore and need an ego boost, otherwise, I strongly recommend not wasting your money on it. I was desperately trying to find someone, and ended up getting conned out of over $30, which is a bunch of money for someone who is unemployed.
In summary, I would not recommend Adult Friend Finder to a friend.
