I have been on the site a couple of times and have found success relatively easy to achieve. The female clientele are far more discerning than on other sites I have tried and unlike the experiences of others who have reviewed the site, I can confirm that the women are very real.. I enjoyed a lengthy affair after my first visit.. And I am about to embark on another following my second. It isn't cheap, that's for sure.. But if you have anything about you, and you aren't seeking a quick "Travel Lodge" shag, then you will enjoy the site and the experience.... In summary, I would recommend Illicit Encounters to a friend.

To be balanced the site claims to have about a 50 / 50 mix of men and ladies. Might be true, if adding up profiles, but most of the lady's profiles are so similar they are obviously made up. I - foolishly - paid to join, despite my suspicions. No replies, no dates. Like the main editorial says, even at "peak" times there are no more than a couple of hundred people on the site and if nearly all of the women are fake the chance of meeting a "real one" is nil, or nearly nil. One day trading standards will close it down. Hurrah. In summary, I would not recommend Illicit Encounters to a friend.

Disappointing

I read reviews of the site - including the ones on here, but other review sites as well, all suggested it might be "average" value for money, but once my profile was complete it began to attract quite a lot of lady's eyes so I paid the subscription and messaged all the women who had initially messaged me. Not one reply. Maybe they had all been snapped up, so I wrote some more letters - quite decent, a few paragraphs, but again almost nothing. I did start talking to one lady but then her profile disappeared very abruptly. Just on the last day some more messages appeared but I couldn't really afford to pay more money. However, after I left the site I was looking again and one day I found nearly the same profile in London and Cumbria but with different names and ages. Maybe some of the other reviews were right, but it seems you have to get in quickly, and women join in groups every month. So if you get your timing wrong maybe you just miss out. Maybe the positive for women is they are taken within hours of joining. In summary, I would not recommend Illicit Encounters to a friend.

I'd read lots of stuff about the IE site before I joined ... most of it saying there were phantom members and all that stuff. Maybe some of that is correct - but my experiences haven't been bad at all and I would (will) join up again if I feel the need. I did one month (must say its not v.cheap) and got five nice dates ... one of which was fantastic. Four months later I joined up again for another month .... six great dates this time, two of which were fantastic ... one of which I'm in touch virtually everyday and meet every week or so; all very discrete and secure. To get the most out of the site you do have to work at it - don't wait if youre a guy, you have to seek. Girls join for free and there is a good cross section of society ..... if you're shrewd you can easily suss out who to avoid. Depends what you seek but I'd say the site attracts members who are not necessarily immediately looking to jump into bed with someone (suits me fine) whereas sites like 'martial affair' seems to have a high proportion of people who just...
