This is another of those fake sites with the vast majority of profiles being operated by a few people receiving incentives to reply to messages!
We've sent out over 200 chat messages to female profiles in the age range of 18 to 45 and received responses from the majority. Unfortunately, most of the replies could easily be recognised as fake, especially when in dialogue with younger profiles; replies did not match the grammar used in their profiles chat up lines or fit within a typical response styles for the age indicated within the profile.
This is because the site copy and reuse old abandoned profiles, one profile examined in April 2019 had a photo date stamp of 05/2012 and was being used on a profile for someone allegedly now aged 18, the image from 2012 was of someone aged well in excess of 11 years old and was from a 'verified profile' on another dating site.
When we asked direct questions through 'Chat', the responses were very general or simply a question back at us. Respondents were generally unwilling to encourage dialogue of a nature you may anticipate from such website!
All our requests for further verification of identity, (such as another face photo with a piece of paper dated today on it), were typically met with no response and the chat ceasing.
Those profiles we continued in chat with, and after 10 or more message exchanges we requested a meet, were ALWAYS met with a delaying tactic, NEVER an outright refusal such as; I work in retail and don't know when I'll be available, it's too soon, I can't put a time on it, my cars out of action at the moment and sometimes the use of terminology that is not generally used in the UK, and the list goes on. The point of never refusing is to keep you chatting and using your paid for credit.
Of the very few profiles that reached message exchanges of 40 or more, not one was willing to provide alternative email addresses to continue chat through even after they'd indicated it was a possibility once a 'relationship' had developed.
When it came to customer support, you won't get a response from 9 out of 10 requests unless it's about making a payment.
We posed several questions to technical support specifically why some profiles were able to post long features about themselves in the 'about me' section of their profiles when the limit, even as a subscribed profile, was limited to 250 characters. We never received a single reply. Complaints about alleged fake profiles never appeared to result in any action being taken, even the complaint we made against our second fake female profile setup by our young female assistant.
In conclusion, it's very fair to say this is definitely not a genuine sex contact site.
Guys, there's an old saying which is almost always true: -
If it's too good to be true, then it probably is!
Don't waste your money and more importantly your precious time!
In summary, I would not recommend British Sex Contacts to a friend.
